Stan Lee
The man who walked in with pure IMAGINATION.
He was an American comic book writer, editor, publisher, and producer. He rose through the ranks of a family-run business to become Marvel Comics' primary creative leader for two decades, leading its expansion from a small division of a publishing house
to a multimedia corporation that dominated the comics industry.
Here's a time line of Stan Lee's life:
- December 28, 1922 - Born to Celia Lieber and Jack Lieber in New York City.
- 1939 - Had several jobs in his life. One of then was that the was an office assistant at Timely Comics.
- 1940 -became the Editor of Timely Comics.
- 1961 - Noteworthy comic creations of Stan Lee, the Fantastic Four.
- 1962 - Created Spider-Man.
- 1963 - Created the X-men.
- 1942 - Became the editorial director and publisher.
- 1999 - Formed Stan Lee Media.
- 2001 - Started POW! Entertainment.
- 2002 - Published his autobiography, filed a lawsuit against Marvel for not receiving any profits from the Spider-Man movie.
- 2008 - Got a National Medal of Arts.
- 2011 - Got the Star on the Walk of Fame for Motion Picture award.
- 2012 - Announced his new YouTube channel, ‘Stan Lee's World of Heroes’, airing various programs created by him , at San Diego Comic-Con International.
- 2015 - Wrote the book, ‘Zodiac’, along with Stuart Moore
- 2005 - Got married to Joan Clayton Boocock and lived on Long Island for the first few years of their marriage. The couple has a daughter, Joan Celia ‘J.C.’ Lee and Joan had a boy, Jan Lee, who died in infancy.
- November 12, 2018 - dies at the age of 95.
